SPRING RECESS

We will be closed for Spring Recess as follows:
Sunday, April 6 – 12, 2008.
Classes resume Monday, April 14 2008.

PICTURES

We will have a professional photographer in our studio to take pictures of our students in full costume and make-up. Picture dates are as follows:

Friday, April, 4th &
Saturday April 5th

Please look on bulletin boards for time and day each class is scheduled.

TAPING ROUTINES

If your child would like to practice their dance routine at home we can record their recital music. There will be a $6.00 fee for recording one (1) recital song on CD.
Each additional routine will be $2.00 extra.

 

PROGRAM AD

For those parents and friends who own and operate businesses in this area, we would like to invite you to advertise your business, product, or service in our Souvenir recital program. This will give you the opportunity to let the rest of the student body and their families know what you have to offer and allow them to patronize familiar names. Space in the program can also be used for individual pictures of your children. For those students receiving their Five, or Ten Year awards, two photos can be used showing past and present. There are Special rates for award students.

 

RECITAL TICKETS

Recital tickets will go on sale Friday, May 9th at the Coral Springs Centre for the Arts box office 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm

  • All bills must be paid in full in order to receive tickets. (Company students must also have summer fees paid).
  • All seats are reserved.
  • No telephone reservations.
  • No refunds or exchanges.
  • There will be no picking up tickets for other families.

Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis.

RECITAL NEWS

Preparations for our 17th ANNUAL DANCE SHOWCASE 2008 have begun. Costumes have been ordered and should be delivered by early March. When costumes are delivered, they will be distributed to our students during their scheduled classes.

The dates are as follows:

Dress Rehearsal:
Friday, May 30, 2008 student drop off 4:30pm rehearsal start 5:30pm

Recital:
Sunday, June 8, 2008 student drop off 1:00pm recital start 2:00pm

  1. Parents will drop off children at front and pick them up at completion of rehearsal and show.
  2.  No one will be allowed in the auditorium during rehearsals. 
  3. Rehearsals will be closed.Videotaping or flash photography will not be allowed during the recital. 
  4. Only class parents will be admitted to backstage area. If you do not belong or are not assigned to this area, you will be asked to leave.
  5. Children will not be released early from either the rehearsals or the show. Early release increases responsibilities on our staff and pose difficulties with security. Please cooperate with us!

CLASS PARENTS

Anyone interested in becoming a class parent, please sign up at the front desk. It is understood that you must stay behind the scenes for the length of the show. You must be available for rehearsals as well as the show. Your responsibilities will be to the class or area you are assigned. You will be able to watch your child’s performance but must return backstage when finished. This is an extremely important and responsible undertaking. For those volunteers, Thank You!

For the purpose of Five, Ten or Fifteen Year awards, students must have participated in five (5), ten (10) or fifteen (15) consecutive recitals.

Please Note: To be eligible for Baby of the Year awards, students must have been enrolled as an active student by December 21, 2007.

SOUVENIR RECITAL TEE SHIRT

We will be selling a special souvenir tee shirt to celebrate our 17th year in Boca. All our students names will appear on this shirt. Don’t miss out order yours early. All proceeds go to the Spectrum Dancers.

 

 RECITAL RAFFLE

Spectrum Dancers will be holding a raffle at our annual recital. Prizes will be 500 dollars cash and one free 1 hour class for next season. See any Spectrum company member or the desk to purchase your tickets. Winners need not be present at the recital.

DANCE CAMP

We will be holding a Dance Camp this summer at the Boca Raton studio.

Session I - June 9—13
Session II - June 16—20
Session III- June 23—26

9:00 AM - 3:00 PM daily. After camp from 3:00-6:00 available.

Age groups -
4-5 year old
6-9 year old
10 + years old

Curriculum will include:
Ballet              Jazz
Tap                 Lyrical
Acrobatics      Stretch & Turns
Voice              Musical Theatre
Games             Choreograph Workshop
Arts and Crafts

Tuition: $190/week ($150 if paid in full by May 1). 
$95 for 1/2 day session (4-5 year olds).

Sessions will be limited. A $50 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to hold a place in each session.

SUMMER INTENSIVE DANCE

In addition to our Summer Dance Camp, we will be offering a week of Summer Intensive classes for our more advanced students. Classes will be the week of June 15-18 (no classes on Friday) from 4:00-9:30 pm.

All Spectrum Company members are required to take this summer intensive. All students will be offered a variety of classes with emphasis on Technique.

SUMMER AFTERNOON/ EVENING CLASSES

We will be offering classes in the late afternoon for our dancers who are interested in continuing dance through the summer. Afternoon/Evening classes will be held   June 10th — June 26, 2008.
